This weekend workshop is designed for equine therapists, bodyworkers & experienced equine professionals to learn the foundations of equine acupressure and how to integrate them into your existing practice.
Acupressure is a gentle form of manual therapy that uses gentle finger pressure applied to certain points on a horse’s body. The practice has its foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and works on the same principles as acupuncture. It takes a holistic view of the body and aims to identify and restore imbalances that may affect both physical and mental health and wellbeing.
TCM foundations (e.g. Qi, Yin & Yang, 5 elements) The role of meridians and key acupoints Assessment of imbalances & dysfunctional patterns Acupressure protocols for common conditions Integration of acupressure into existing practice Hands-on practical sessions with horses
Suitable for: Equine therapists, massage therapists, bodyworkers, veterinary physiotherapists, and experienced horse professionals.
