Acupressure is a gentle form of manual therapy that uses gentle finger pressure applied to certain points on a horse’s body. The practice has its foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine and works on the same principles as acupuncture. It takes a holistic view of the body and aims to identify and restore imbalances that may affect both physical and mental health and wellbeing.

In this workshop, we will learn about the application and benefits of acupressure and its basic principles such as Qi, Yin & Yang and the 5-element theory followed by hands-on sessions with a focus on the Bladder meridian and a variety of acupoints used for assessment and to address common equine conditions.
