Bodywork encompasses a wide variety of manual practices to improve the health and well-being of horses. In this course, we will work with a combination of acupressure and myofascial release.
Myofascial release is a manual therapy technique that releases tension and pain in the myofascial tissue. Acupressure is a gentle form of manual therapy that uses gentle finger pressure applied to certain points on a horse’s body. The practice has its foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine and works on the same principles as acupuncture.
In this workshop, we will focus on the basics of both practices and how to safely apply them. We will learn about certain similarities and areas of overlap between both practices and why a combination of both can be particularly effective.
