This one-day workshop is designed for horse owners, riders, grooms and any other person involved with horses to practically support your horse’s soundness, health and well-being.
Acupressure is a gentle form of manual therapy that uses gentle finger pressure applied to certain points on a horse’s body. The practice has its foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine and works on the same principles as acupuncture. It takes a holistic view of the body and aims to identify and restore imbalances that may affect both physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Massage is a manual practice to manipulate a horse’s soft tissue. It aims to relieve tension, increase blood and lymphatic circulation, reduce stress, and improve flexibility and performance.
You will learn:
• Application and benefits of acupressure and massage
• Basic massage techniques for horses
• Acupoints for common conditions and overall support
• Identification of common problem areas
• Important safety considerations and contraindications
By the end of the weekend you will be able to:
✓ Give your horse a basic whole body wellness massage
✓ Locate and use key equine acupressure points safely
✓ Identify common tension areas
✓ Build a stronger connection with your horse
✓ Support your horse between professional sessions
Suitable for: horse owners, riders, grooms & other equine professionals. No prior acupressure or massage knowledge required. All levels welcome.
